Planning & Cost Controller

About the role

The Planning & Cost Controller will monitor project budgets, track expenditures and ensure financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with project managers, procurement, estimation and finance teams, the role guarantees that projects are delivered within approved budgets and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update project time schedules based on client requirements.
• Develop, manage and forecast project budgets, producing regular cost reports.
• Monitor and control expenditures, performing cost analysis and identifying savings.
• Track project progress, compare actual costs to planned costs and prepare variance analysis.
• Review contractor invoices, verify quantities and pricing, and coordinate change orders with procurement and engineering.
• Develop cost‑control procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support project scheduling, resource planning and risk assessment activities.
• Maintain accurate cost documentation and prepare monthly financial reports for management.

Required profile

• Strong background in cost accounting and project management.
• Experience in the construction or quarrying sector, especially stone processing.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to spot inefficiencies.

Required skills

• Project planning software such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and construction‑industry software.
• Knowledge of quarrying and stone‑processing techniques.
