Planning Manager – Project Scheduling & Execution

About the role

The Planning Manager will lead project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring to ensure timely and efficient execution of large‑scale industrial, oil & gas, and construction projects. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to align schedules with project objectives, resources, and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools.
• Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables in coordination with stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, identify risks or delays, and proactively apply corrective actions.
• Prepare and update project reports, dashboards, and progress tracking documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment with the master plan.
• Analyze resource requirements and optimize allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Conduct variance analysis between planned and actual progress and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, and company standards.
• Support decision‑making with data‑driven insights and participate in project meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Proven experience on large‑scale industrial, oil & gas, or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
