Procurement Engineer

About the role

The Procurement Engineer will lead all procurement activities for the Dukhan project, ensuring that requirements are met on time and within budget. Working on‑site at Dukhan, the role reports to the Dukhan Programme Manager and collaborates closely with the Qatar Branch Office Procurement Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Dukhan‑specific Procurement Plan in line with BAE Systems governance.
• Act as the primary procurement focal point for on‑base FSRs, managing contractual performance and reporting monthly.
• Conduct market research, tender processes, and supplier selection to achieve cost‑saving targets.
• Provide value‑for‑money analysis and recommend efficiency improvements for future contracts.
• Maintain proactive communication with department managers, stakeholders, and the Qatar Branch Office to keep all parties informed of procurement status and lead times.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement within large‑scale projects, preferably in the oil & gas or infrastructure sector.
• Strong understanding of contractual frameworks and supplier performance measurement.
• Ability to analyse market conditions and develop sourcing strategies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
