Procurement Engineer

About the role

The Procurement Engineer supports North Oil Company’s operational continuity by managing the full procurement cycle for materials and services. The role involves regular interaction with local and international suppliers while ensuring compliance with local agency regulations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform purchasing activities that are safe, efficient, economical, auditable and aligned with company requirements.
• Handle purchase requisitions, evaluate offers, negotiate contracts, issue purchase orders and monitor delivery to ensure timely receipt and payment.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, local laws, JV rules and safety certifications throughout the procurement process.
• Report key performance indicators and contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement practices and documentation.

Required profile

• BSc degree in a scientific or commercial field or equivalent.
• At least 6 years of post‑graduate experience in the oil & gas sector, including a minimum of 1 year as a Procurement Engineer or similar purchasing role.
• Strong knowledge of local agency regulations, safety requirements and the ability to work with partner entities across locations.
• Proven ability to coordinate with suppliers, evaluate bids and manage contract documentation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP for purchase data entry and tracking.
• Intermediate level purchasing technical competencies.
• C&P tools fundamentals certification.
