Procurement Lead – Pipeline Projects

About the role

The Procurement Lead – Pipeline will oversee all procurement activities for offshore and onshore pipeline projects for a major LNG operator in Qatar. This 36‑month contract role ensures that materials, services and spare parts are sourced within scope, budget and schedule while meeting stringent quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the offshore pipelines procurement requirements, aligning with project scope, budget and schedule.
• Review and approve contractor procurement procedures and documents, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Steward contractor performance, monitoring cost, schedule and quality objectives.
• Coordinate vendor quality control efforts and resolve procurement issues.
• Support evaluation and onboarding of key vendors to the Project Vendor List.
• Collaborate with the Quality department to verify EPC items meet project quality requirements.
• Monitor EPC contractor procurement and materials management plans for both contractor‑scope and company‑scope items.
• Review and validate spare parts lists submitted by EPC contractors before release to operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in a business function, including at least 5 years in the oil & gas industry.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or oversight role managing contractors, subcontractors or vendors.
