Procurement Specialist – Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will support Mowasalat’s mission to deliver agile, safe and sustainable transport solutions by managing the end‑to‑end procurement of goods and services. You will ensure purchases are timely, cost‑effective and compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions, verify completeness and compliance with organizational policies.
• Identify, evaluate and select vendors based on price, quality, quantity and delivery criteria.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules and mitigate procurement risks.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and assess supplier performance.
• Assist in inventory management, monitor stock movements and implement practices to optimise inventory levels.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, regulatory standards and business continuity plans.
• Prepare procurement performance reports, analyse data trends and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and manage procurement‑related risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CPP, CSCP or CPSM are preferred.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.
• Strong analytical skills for reporting and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
