Project Director – Hospitality & Entertainment

About the role

Parsons is looking for an experienced Project Director to lead the day‑to‑day delivery of Site Supervision Consultancy Services for a luxury hospitality and entertainment development in Qatar. You will act as the client’s primary representative, overseeing construction, testing & commissioning, handover and the Defects Liability Period for a mixed‑use destination that includes hospitality, entertainment, retail and residential components.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall delivery of site supervision consultancy throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Manage a multidisciplinary supervision team of Resident Engineers, discipline engineers, inspectors and specialist consultants.
• Coordinate closely with contractors, designers, operators, authorities and utility providers.
• Ensure works comply with contract documents, approved drawings, specifications, codes and client objectives for safety, schedule, quality and operational readiness.
• Oversee contract administration, quality assurance, HSE compliance and contractor performance monitoring.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs and technical queries.
• Monitor construction progress against the approved programme and implement corrective actions.
• Administer site instructions, variations, claims support, payment certifications and final acceptance processes.
• Coordinate inspections, testing & commissioning activities and authority inspections.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Director or senior construction supervisor on large‑scale hospitality, entertainment or mixed‑use projects.
• Strong leadership skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and act as the client’s day‑to‑day representative.
• Excellent understanding of construction contracts, statutory regulations and quality standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders including contractors, designers and authorities.
