Project Engineer

About the role

Samsung E&A is seeking a mid‑level Project Engineer to support project management activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases. The role involves ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review ITB contracts, define scope of work and ensure technical compliance.
• Prepare project plans, gate meeting documentation and manage project schedules, costs and quality.
• Coordinate technical bid evaluation, review submittals and manage interface reporting with client engineering, operations and maintenance teams.
• Monitor project progress, handle design, procurement, construction and commissioning issues, and support commissioning activities such as punch‑list clearance and hand‑over documentation.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and maintain comprehensive project documentation including the Close‑Out Binder.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in project management within oil & gas, petrochemical or power plant environments.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and make decisions under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with document management systems and technical submittal review processes.
