Project Manager (M2) - Airport Programme

About the role

Mace is looking for an experienced project manager to lead a major aviation programme on a state-of-the-art airport project in Doha. Mace has delivered PMC services on the airport for several years, increasing passenger capacity and improving services. The role covers planning, stakeholder management, commercial oversight, risk management and project execution from inception to completion, with a strong background in the aviation sector and experience in live airport environments.

Key responsibilities

• Champion safety first, ensuring compliance with HSE standards while fostering wellbeing, inclusion and a positive safety culture.
• Manage end-to-end project delivery, maintain quality systems and support senior leaders to achieve programme milestones.
• Oversee budgets, risks and ethical governance, and manage collaborative project teams.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver aviation-related projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, risks and quality.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors and stakeholders, and act as the main interface between stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Drive project governance, reporting and performance management, and prepare executive-level reports and presentations.
• Monitor progress, identify and resolve issues, and ensure compliance with health, safety, security and operational requirements.
• Manage risks, opportunities and change control, and support procurement, contract administration and commercial management as required.
• Deliver projects with minimal impact on airport operations and passenger experience.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering, construction management, project management or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as PMP, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10-15 years of project management experience.
• Demonstrable experience delivering projects in the aviation sector, including terminal, airside, landside, baggage handling, aviation systems, infrastructure or operational improvement projects.
• Experience managing consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Preferred: experience in major international airports, client-side, PMC or programme management roles, and familiarity with airport operational requirements and aviation regulations.
