QA/QC Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer ensures that all construction activities comply with approved specifications, quality standards and industry best practices. Working under the Project QA/QC Manager, the role implements and monitors the Project Quality Management System to deliver projects on time and to client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the QA/QC Manager in applying the Project Quality Management System and IMS procedures.
• Prepare and submit Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) and coordinate inspections with consultants.
• Verify that construction work follows approved specifications, method statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Inspect incoming materials against project specifications and approved submittals.
• Monitor WIR status, test reports and quality records, providing regular updates to the project team.
• Maintain QA/QC plans, method statements, ITPs and related documentation throughout the project.
• Control document distribution via the document control system and ensure approvals are in place before work starts.
• Coordinate with site teams, consultants and subcontractors to ensure consistent quality implementation.
• Record accurate inspection reports and testing documentation to demonstrate compliance.
• Identify non‑conformities, support corrective actions and verify their closure.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years total experience, with at least 3 years in QA/QC for construction or engineering projects.
• Knowledge of international and local quality standards such as ISO 9001, QCS, SMACNA, ASHRAE, NFPA.
• Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
• Ability to interpret specifications, drawings, method statements and ITPs.
• Experience with document control, inspection processes and corrective action management.
