QS Instrumentation Engineer – Quantity Surveying & Cost Control

About the role

The company is looking for a QS Instrumentation Engineer to lead quantity surveying, estimation and cost control activities for major industrial and oil & gas projects in Qatar. The role combines technical review of instrumentation, ELV and mechanical works with preparation of bills of quantities and cost forecasts. You will work closely with project teams to ensure accurate budgeting and contract documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for instrumentation and related works.
• Perform quantity take‑offs from drawings and specifications.
• Develop cost estimates and support cost control throughout project lifecycle.
• Produce and review contract documentation and variation orders.
• Coordinate with design and procurement teams to verify technical specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, estimation or cost control.
• Experience in oil & gas or large‑scale industrial projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with instrumentation, ELV or mechanical works.
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
