Registered Dietitian I

About the role

Sidra Medicine is hiring a Registered Dietitian I to provide safe and effective clinical nutrition and dietetic care to women and children. The role works closely with the multidisciplinary team and is supervised and mentored by a Registered Dietitian II. It is an entry-level position within the Dietitian Scope Practice governed by the Qatar Council for Healthcare Professions (QCHP).

Key responsibilities

• Apply the Nutrition Care Process: complete nutrition assessments, determine nutrition diagnoses, develop and implement nutrition interventions, and monitor and evaluate patient progress.
• Perform anthropometric and body composition measurements, review dietary intake, and supervise dietetic technicians' data collection.
• Provide preceptorship and training for Graduate Associates and Registered Diet Technicians, and undertake rotations in clinical specialties under supervision.
• Attend multidisciplinary team meetings such as discharge planning and case conferences.
• Document care accurately and timely in the medical record, communicate with the medical team, and work with foodservice staff to meet nutrition prescriptions.
• Take part in continuous quality improvement, help develop nutrition policies and procedures, and give in-services and educational presentations.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient data and comply with QCHP standards and accreditation requirements.
