Registered General Nurse – Dental Assistant (Qatar)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered General Nurse (RGN) to work as a Dental Assistant in Qatar. The successful candidate will provide chair‑side support to dentists, ensure strict infection‑control standards, and contribute to the smooth operation of the dental clinic.

Key responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations, treatments and minor surgical procedures, preparing and managing treatment rooms and instruments.
• Maintain four‑handed dentistry workflow, monitor patient comfort and record basic observations or vitals when required.
• Perform cleaning, disinfection, packaging and sterilisation of instruments, keep sterilisation logs and verify autoclave cycles.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment, manage clinical waste and uphold hygiene compliance.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain steps, provide post‑treatment instructions and support oral‑hygiene education.
• Support clinic documentation, manage consumable inventory, check expiry dates and coordinate scheduling with reception.

Required profile

• Valid General Nursing or Dental Assistant licence issued by QCHP/MOPH Qatar (or transferable eligibility).
• Previous experience in dental assisting is advantageous; training can be provided.
• Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures.
• Professional communication skills and ability to handle patients with care.
• Capability to work under pressure and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
