About the role
The Relationship Manager will lead the preparation of credit appraisal reports, transaction screening papers and internal recommendations for syndicated, acquisition, structured and project finance transactions in Qatar. This role supports both primary and secondary loan market activities and coordinates closely with Credit, Legal, Compliance and senior management.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare transaction screening papers, credit appraisal reports, internal credit recommendations and approval memos for syndicated and structured finance deals.
- Support primary and secondary loan market activities, including distribution strategy, pricing analysis and investor targeting.
- Conduct detailed financial statement analysis, financial modelling, sensitivity analysis, scenario testing and cash‑flow forecasting.
- Review transaction structures, security and covenant packages, repayment profiles and risk allocation.
- Assess transaction profitability using RAROC, ROE, economic capital and pricing metrics.
- Coordinate internal approvals across Credit, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, ESG, Finance and senior management.
- Monitor execution milestones from origination through financial close and post‑closing follow‑ups.
- Maintain transaction database, documentation warehousing and management records.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in syndicated finance, structured finance, project finance or corporate banking.
- Demonstrated experience in origination, execution, underwriting and participation of syndicated loans.
- Strong knowledge of LMA documentation, syndicated loan processes and closing mechanics.
- Experience with DFIs, ECAs, export finance or regional/international banks is highly desirable.
- Financial modelling and credit analysis expertise.
- Understanding of credit risk, covenant analysis and portfolio management.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic.
