Reporter – Business & Finance (Doha)

About the role

Dow Jones Newswires is hiring two reporters to cover business, finance, economics and markets across the Middle East. Based in Doha, you will join a regional team that feeds the global Dow Jones and Wall Street Journal news operations.

Key responsibilities

• Break and prioritize news on capital flows, private‑equity moves and energy markets.
• Conduct exclusive interviews and deliver scoops for professional readers.
• Analyse news signals quickly, producing headlines, briefs and long‑form thematic articles.
• Identify forward‑looking details from regional streams for the daily global report.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Newswires and The Wall Street Journal to uphold editorial standards.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of relevant reporting or journalism experience.
• High sense of urgency and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Intellectual curiosity about Middle Eastern markets.
• Strong teamwork and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written English (essential); Arabic is a plus.
