Reservations Agent - Arabic Speaking

About the role

The Iconic Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha is looking for a Reservations Agent who speaks Arabic fluently. The role covers answering guest calls, handling reservations and rooming lists, and supporting the hotel's front office and sales activities.

Key responsibilities

• Listen actively to guest questions and requests and resolve issues using the brand's processes
• Anticipate guest needs and act on their preferences
• Answer phones within three rings, with polite etiquette, and handle transfers, messages and hold requests
• Know the hotel's services and facilities and its reservation systems; answer questions on rates, outlets and room locations
• Determine the best room type for each guest and maximise room rates
• Process rooming lists and group blocks, note special requests and billing procedures, and post advance deposits
• Explain guarantee and cancellation policies and keep accurate records of deposits
• Identify repeat guests, assign confirmation and cancellation numbers, and suggest alternative dates or sister properties when rooms are sold out
• Use up-selling techniques to maximise revenue and follow hotel policies and grooming standards
• Keep track of room inventory and stay aware of rate and occupancy targets
• Assist with large events, help in task force teams for new openings and carry out other reasonable tasks asked by management

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in the same position at a 5-star hotel
• High school degree
• Fluent communication in Arabic
• Professionalism, integrity, honesty and confidentiality
