Resident Engineer – DNS, DHCP & IP Address Management (DDI)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Resident Engineer to provide onsite operational, technical, and security support for an enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) environment. The role involves administering the DDI platform, monitoring service health, and acting as the primary technical liaison between the client and the DDI Technical Assistance Center.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, administer, and perform daily health checks on DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services.
• Troubleshoot incidents, service disruptions, configuration issues, and performance degradation.
• Implement approved configuration changes, system updates, patches, and migrations.
• Integrate DDI services with SIEM platforms, threat‑intelligence feeds, and other security tools.
• Monitor and enforce DNS security policies, RPZ rules, firewall controls, and Zero‑Trust requirements.
• Detect, investigate, and respond to DNS‑based threats such as tunnelling, C2 activity, and malicious domains.
• Maintain audit trails, system logs, and compliance documentation.
• Recommend architectural improvements, perform performance tuning, and support the design of new DDI services.
• Produce operational reports, root‑cause analyses, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to client technical teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience administering DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management platforms.
• Strong background in security monitoring and incident response for DNS environments.
• Ability to work onsite and coordinate with client teams and external support centers.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
