Restaurant Supervisor

About the role

An experienced Restaurant Supervisor is sought for the Hospitality Department, within its continued operational development and commitment to exceptional dining experiences. The role oversees daily restaurant operations, supervises service staff, ensures consistent service standards and maintains a high level of guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient food and beverage service.
• Lead, guide and monitor restaurant staff, including waiters and other service personnel, to maintain high service standards and productivity.
• Ensure excellent guest service by handling customer inquiries, feedback and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Monitor staff attendance, duty schedules and work assignments to ensure adequate operational coverage.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team for timely food preparation, order accuracy and smooth service.
• Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, food safety and compliance with company policies and operational standards.
• Assist in monitoring inventory, stock levels and supplies while minimising wastage.
• Prepare operational reports and support management in improving restaurant performance and service quality.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in restaurant operations, preferably in a hotel, resort or high-volume dining establishment.
• Previous experience supervising and leading restaurant service teams.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on operational requirements.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of food and beverage service operations, restaurant procedures and guest relations.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and customer service skills.
