Retirement Benefits Officer

About the role

Qatar Airways is looking for a Retirement Benefits Officer to join its HR Remuneration and Organisation Design team in Doha. The role ensures smooth administration of global and local retirement benefit schemes, guaranteeing accuracy, compliance and timely service for scheme members and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date records on retirement benefits for all outstations.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional and international regulations and monitor legislative changes affecting pension plans.
• Prepare regular reports on plan status for internal stakeholders.
• Handle HRBP inquiries regarding pension entitlements and contributions.
• Manage database updates for changes in retirement benefits status.
• Coordinate administrative projects related to outstation pension scheme enhancements.
• Capture accurate cessation data after employee departure and liaise with third parties and QR departments.
• Review audit documents and financial statements for discrepancies.
• Liaise with the HR Separations team on ISP recovery/payments for departing members.
• Monitor the company ISP account to ensure correct credit adjustments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in insurance, pension or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of local legal requirements and HR processes.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proven ability to work within a team and influence stakeholders.
