Sales Consultant - Automotive

About the role

The Sales Consultant will drive vehicle sales by delivering exceptional customer service, understanding client needs, and guiding them through the complete sales journey from inquiry to delivery. This role requires strong product knowledge, negotiation abilities, and a focus on building lasting relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and professionally assist walk‑in and potential customers.
• Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable vehicles based on needs and budget.
• Present detailed vehicle features, specifications, benefits and options.
• Arrange and conduct test drives following company procedures.
• Follow up leads, convert prospects into sales and achieve monthly and annual targets.
• Generate new leads through referrals, networking, corporate visits, events and other business‑development activities.
• Prepare quotations, sales proposals and vehicle specifications, explaining pricing, promotions, financing and insurance options.
• Negotiate sales within approved company policies and ensure accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to manage vehicle booking, registration, financing, insurance and delivery.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information in the CRM system.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, conducting timely follow‑ups.
• Handle customer inquiries and concerns promptly, escalating issues when required.
• Conduct post‑delivery follow‑ups to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Stay up‑to‑date with vehicle models, specifications, features, accessories, promotions and competitor offerings.
• Participate in product training sessions to continuously improve sales and product knowledge.
