Security Learning & Development Specialist

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking a Security Learning & Development Specialist to join its HR Group Learning and Development team in Doha. You will lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of security training programmes across the airline group and approved external organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate learner‑focused security training programmes using adult learning techniques.
• Conduct assessments to measure learner competence and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor regulator standards and keep training content up‑to‑date.
• Apply the 70:20:10 learning model to improve training effectiveness and efficiency.
• Design and develop security‑related courses that meet aviation security regulations and best‑practice methodology.
• Plan and organise learning events such as conferences and communities of practice, encouraging networking and mentorship.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to identify learning gaps and recommend best practices.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Head of Department.

Required profile

• High school/vocational qualification with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience.
• Formal aviation security trainer accreditation from ICAO, IATA or a civil aviation authority.
• Proven experience in aviation security and security training.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of the MS Office suite.
