Senior Accountant – Retail / E-commerce

About the role

Arkan Marketing is looking for a Senior Accountant to lead the full accounting cycle for its retail and e‑commerce operations across multiple countries. The role is focused on financial control, reporting and building robust accounting structures rather than routine data entry.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounting for multi‑country retail and e‑commerce businesses.
• Design and maintain a structured Chart of Accounts.
• Record, monitor and allocate operating expenses and cost of goods sold.
• Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations and oversee supplier payments and payables.
• Prepare accurate monthly P&L statements by business unit and country.
• Monitor cash flow, identify financial risks and ensure proper internal controls.
• Collaborate with the supply‑chain team to integrate landed‑cost calculations.
• Ensure VAT compliance and other regulatory requirements where applicable.
• Provide management with financial analysis and reporting support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or e‑commerce.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Residency in Qatar and ability to start immediately.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho or Odoo.
