Senior Associate - Strategy PMO (Qatarization)

About the role

QNB Group, Qatar's first Qatari-owned commercial bank established in 1964, is hiring a Senior Associate for its Strategy PMO. The role supports the Strategy PMO (Senior) Managers in managing, monitoring, steering and tracking projects so they are completed on time, within budget and scope, and helps run the Group's Project Management Office.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Strategy PMO (Senior) Managers in managing, monitoring, steering and tracking projects to ensure successful completion within time, budget and scope.
• Prepare management information reports on planned and ongoing projects continuously and ad hoc, as directed.
• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Group PMO for all planned, ongoing and ad hoc projects.
• Help roll out and champion the project management methodology, processes, procedures, tools and templates used across the project portfolio.
• Learn the comprehensive project management methodology and its associated standards, tools, templates and processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university in business administration, finance or science.
• Qatari graduates with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
• Proven academic record or work experience in a strategy-consulting environment or a well-known international financial services institution.
• High degree of methodological, conceptual, numerical, analytical and evaluation skills.

Required skills

• Excellent oral and written communication in English and Arabic.
• Analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills; independent, structured and result-driven work style.
• Ability to collaborate across hierarchy levels, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure in a project-based, multi-cultural environment.
• Proficiency in standard business software and office tools, with skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• A basic understanding of project methodology such as Prince2 and/or PMP is an advantage, as is any certification.
