Senior Construction Manager – Building Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead all construction activities for a major building project in Qatar for a leading main contractor. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee site execution, planning, resource management, and ensure safe, efficient, and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all site construction activities from commencement through project completion.
• Develop construction strategies, work sequences, and execution plans aligned with the project programme.
• Direct and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring compliance with shop drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Monitor progress, implement corrective actions, and manage manpower, equipment, and resources efficiently.
• Lead daily, weekly and monthly coordination meetings and resolve site‑related issues promptly.
• Ensure highest standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping across the project.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 18–20 years of experience in building construction, with at least 12 years in senior site leadership roles for leading main contractors.
• Proven experience delivering large‑scale residential, commercial, mixed‑use, hospitality, healthcare or high‑rise projects.
• Previous experience in Qatar or GCC is mandatory.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies for reinforced concrete, structural steel, architectural finishes and MEP interfaces.
• Excellent understanding of project scheduling, construction sequencing and Primavera P6.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
