Senior Consultant – RBS & Risk Modelling

About the role
We are seeking a Senior Consultant with deep expertise in Risk‑Based Supervision (RBS) and quantitative risk modelling to join a leading global consultancy supporting FinTech regulation in Qatar. The role is on‑site, full‑time, and initially spans a minimum of 12 months with the possibility of extension.
Key responsibilities
- Develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) with defined thresholds and assessment methodologies.
- Build risk aggregation and scoring models for FinTech entities.
- Design RBS framework components for payments, digital lending, crowdfunding and tokenised assets.
- Automate data‑collection and KRI computation pipelines.
- Create inspection playbooks for risk‑driven on‑site supervision.
- Deliver standard operating procedures, user manuals and staff training.
Required profile
- Minimum 7 years of experience in financial services risk management.
- Proven hands‑on implementation of RBS frameworks.
- Strong expertise in KRI development and risk‑threshold setting.
- Broad FinTech knowledge across multiple verticals.
- Experience with AML/CFT, operational risk and governance frameworks.
- Professional certifications such as CFA or FRM are a strong advantage.
- Prior experience in a central bank or regulatory environment is preferred.
