Senior Cyber Security Architect

About the role

A Senior Cyber Security Architect is needed in Qatar on a full-time basis. The role covers enterprise security architecture, security design and risk assessment, and works closely with enterprise architects, technology teams, project managers, Risk, Audit and Compliance stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security architecture assessments and reviews across applications, infrastructure, networks, APIs, hybrid and multi-cloud environments, aligned with enterprise security principles and regulatory requirements.
• Develop security architecture recommendations and reusable design patterns covering Zero Trust, IAM/PAM, secrets management, cryptography, key management, application security, data protection and security monitoring.
• Identify architecture risks, security gaps and control weaknesses, and recommend mitigations and compensating controls in line with banking regulations, QNB security policies and risk management frameworks.
• Assess security risks of cloud-native platforms, containers, AI/ML solutions and generative AI, including data protection, identity, integrations, third-party dependencies and compliance.
• Apply threat modelling and risk-based assessments to strengthen cyber resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, network segmentation, incident containment and secure system recovery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, maintain architecture documentation, design recommendations, risk records and supporting evidence, and give technical briefings and knowledge-transfer sessions to QNB teams.
• Ensure all deliverables follow approved standards and governance; final architecture approvals, risk acceptance and exceptions remain with authorised QNB personnel.
