Senior Design & Proposal Engineer (Qatar Region)

About the role

Avanceon, a leading system integrator with more than 30 years of experience helping industries control, improve and optimise manufacturing processes, is hiring a Senior Design & Proposal Engineer for its Qatar region. The role combines technical proposals, industrial automation and a Middle East focus, working with international teams on large projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technically compliant and cost-effective proposals for the Middle East regions.
• Leverage experience in automation and high-level SCADA systems, including subcontractor and system integration.
• Support international technical teams, improve sales team effectiveness and develop integrated systems and tools.
• Lead detailed Capex and sales plans for automation solutions and services, and propose turn-key industrial automation solutions.
• Analyse key accounts, build penetration strategies and negotiate contractual terms with customers.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, ensure tasks are completed on time and comply with business conduct, OEM ethical and legal standards.
• Execute international bids responsibly, minimise risk and track Capex programmes with global OEMs.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 8-12 years of proposal development experience in industrial automation, power control or a related industry.
• Estimation background in electrical, instrumentation or process control.
• Fluent written and spoken English, proven customer interaction and strong business writing.
• Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness.
