Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst will lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting activities for large‑scale construction and infrastructure projects. You will provide actionable insights on performance, trends and risks to support strategic decision‑making and improve profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with business strategy.
• Conduct detailed variance, trend and financial modelling analyses.
• Develop and maintain models to evaluate project performance, investment decisions and business scenarios.
• Analyse financial data and deliver recommendations to senior management.
• Monitor project financial performance, cost control and profitability for large construction projects.
• Review monthly accruals and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Assist in the preparation of audited financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with project, operations, procurement and commercial teams to collect accurate financial data.
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards and presentations for stakeholders.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities and support revenue‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure financial controls, policies and procedures are followed across projects and departments.
• Provide guidance and support to junior analysts as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification preferred (CPA, CA, CMA, CFA or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years of experience, with at least 5 years in financial analysis or related roles.
• Proven experience in large‑scale construction, infrastructure or EPC project environments.
• Strong understanding of month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Financial modelling and variance analysis expertise.
• Use of financial analysis tools for large data sets.
