Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

Qatar Airways is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst in Doha to support the business with financial analyses, budgeting and forecasting, variance analyses, management reporting and financial business cases such as investment and insource versus outsource decisions. The role focuses on adding value to improve decision making and streamline processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop financial models and analyse data using quantitative tools and techniques
• Analyse and report actual revenues and costs, and prepare root-cause variance reports to management monthly, quarterly and annually
• Identify and develop process improvements with finance stakeholders and the business, and define and report KPIs regularly
• Carry out ad hoc revenue and cost analysis for senior management in Finance
• Keep financial accounting reporting in line with corporate and finance definitions, and optimise route profitability, financial accounting and management reporting
• Review annual budget submissions against management strategy and targets, control spend to meet cost of sale targets, and review business case proposals and contracts for financial compliance
• Consolidate and analyse departmental financial results monthly and during budgeting, and perform other duties assigned by the Business Finance manager

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 4 years of job-related experience
• Previous experience as a financial analyst
• Strong communication and presentation skills, working with people at all levels
• Attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to interpret data and understand its impact on the P&L
• Excellent command of English
• Self-starter who can work independently, handle multiple priorities and keep confidential information secure
• Preferred: airline industry experience
