Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Specialist

About the role

This role combines DevOps and cloud infrastructure work around Microsoft Azure. You will design and run the Azure DevOps environment, migrate source code into it, automate deployments and improve the Azure infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design the Azure DevOps environment, including organization and project structure, access model, service connections and integration with the existing Azure environment.
• Migrate application source code and libraries to managed Azure DevOps, set up centralised repositories with access controls, version control and branching strategy.
• Build and run CI/CD pipelines for Development, Staging, Pre-Production and Production environments, replacing manual FTP deployments with automated ones.
• Implement DevOps security and governance controls with Information Security, including secrets management and deployment approvals.
• Work with developers and application owners to configure pipelines, resolve issues and validate deployments.
• Create reusable pipeline configurations, document the setup and give hands-on training to the internal IT team.
• Review Azure infrastructure, recommend improvements and coordinate with Infrastructure and Information Security teams.
• Use IaC (Azure-native tools, scripts, Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates) and look for gains in performance, security, cost and reliability.

Required profile

• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies or DevOps engineering.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience designing CI/CD pipelines, migrating source code to Azure DevOps and automating deployments across multiple environments.
• Experience coordinating with application development, infrastructure and information security teams.

Required skills

• Azure DevOps, Git, YAML-based CI/CD pipelines, PowerShell and Azure CLI.
• Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates; Azure App Service, Key Vault, Monitor and networking.
• DevOps security practices, secrets management and role-based access control.
• Preferred: Azure certification (AZ-104, AZ-305 or AZ-400); other DevOps or cloud certifications are an advantage.
