Senior Legal Manager

About the role

The Senior Legal Manager acts as the Group's internal legal advisor, representing the Group before governmental authorities, regulators and private entities, and overseeing corporate governance, regulatory compliance and legal opinions. The role also covers training and development, and requires native Arabic speakers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and recommend legal solutions and strategies to achieve the Group's objectives, and act as its internal legal advisor.
• Represent the Group as its authorized legal representative before authorities, regulators and private entities.
• Oversee corporate governance in line with applicable laws and regulations.
• Draft, review and give legal opinions on contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
• Strengthen relationships with regulators and business partners.
• Prepare legal statements, opinions and advisory reports for the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
• Manage litigation, prepare legal memoranda and documentation for court proceedings.
• Review grievances and complaints and conduct investigations referred by Group departments.
• Oversee compliance with QFMA requirements and build a compliance and anti-money laundering framework.
• Conduct compliance reviews and gap analyses, report to the Board and advise departments on compliance.
• Develop training programmes for continuous learning and professional development.

Required profile

• BSc/BA in law.
• More than 15 years of legal experience in corporate and legal institutions.
• Business acumen combined with a dedication to legality.
• Methodical approach with strong planning and analytical abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Native Arabic speaker only.
