Senior Linux Administrator (Hybrid Cloud & On-Premises)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Linux Administrator to own day‑to‑day operations and drive continuous improvement of enterprise Linux platforms and storage services across on‑premises data centres and cloud environments (OCI and Microsoft Azure). The role ensures stability, security and high availability while providing expert troubleshooting and guidance to cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, Oracle Linux, CentOS, AlmaLinux) and perform upgrades, patching and security hardening.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents and manage user access and permissions.
• Deploy, configure and manage Linux workloads on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Microsoft Azure, including compute, networking, storage and load balancing services.
• Implement backup, disaster‑recovery and high‑availability solutions using native OCI/Azure capabilities and enterprise backup tools.
• Apply cloud governance, tagging, least‑privilege access and patch orchestration best practices.
• Manage on‑premises and virtualised environments (VMware), provisioning, lifecycle management and performance tuning.
• Administer enterprise SAN/NAS storage platforms, LUN provisioning, zoning/masking and integrate with Linux storage stack (multipathing, LVM, udev, ext4, XFS).

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a Linux system administrator in hybrid (on‑premises and cloud) environments.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database on Linux and ability to partner with database teams.
• Hands‑on experience with OCI services (Compute, VCN, Block Volumes, File Storage, Load Balancer, IAM) and Azure services (VMs, Virtual Networks, Managed Disks, Azure Backup, Azure AD).
• Proficiency in managing VMware infrastructures and enterprise storage arrays such as NetApp ONTAP, HPE 3PAR, IBM storage.
• Familiarity with SAN fabrics (Brocade or Cisco MDS) and Linux storage components.
