Senior Litigation Associate

About the role

Al-Ansari & Associates, a national legal practice in Qatar covering litigation, corporate and business law, is hiring a Senior Litigation Associate. The role manages and leads complex litigation matters from intake through resolution, including strategy development, drafting pleadings and motions, and appearing before courts and tribunals in Qatar. It is a full-time, on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead complex litigation matters from intake through resolution, developing strategy and drafting pleadings and motions
• Conduct legal research, prepare and review case documents, and manage discovery
• Handle depositions and witness preparation
• Advise clients on litigation risk and negotiate settlements when appropriate
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partner firms on cross-border disputes
• Mentor junior lawyers, share knowledge within the firm and support business development through high-quality client service

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Qatari law, with proven litigation and dispute resolution experience in civil and commercial matters
• Recognized legal qualification (e.g. LL.B or equivalent) and admission to practice in Qatar or another relevant jurisdiction
• Minimum of 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in litigation, preferably in a reputable law firm
• Excellent written and oral English; Arabic is highly advantageous
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines, and to work in a multicultural team
