Senior Manager Enterprise Applications Architecture

About the role

QNB Group, established in 1964 as the first Qatari-owned commercial bank and now the largest bank in the Middle East and Africa, is hiring a Senior Manager Enterprise Applications Architecture. The incumbent manages and oversees IT Enterprise Application Architecture in development and production environments, re-engineers existing and new applications to optimize performance and adopt the latest design standards and technologies, and supports the selection of development platforms so that user requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Shareholder and financial: provide cost-effective solutions, coordinate with the AVP Enterprise Architecture and other department heads, implement KPIs and best practices, and promote cost consciousness and efficiency.
• Customer: meet with managers and project owners to document requirements, build relationships with departments, business units and vendors, assist customers with product queries, and maintain SLAs.
• Internal processes, products and regulatory: develop and deliver the Enterprise Architecture strategy using TOGAF, design SOA integration layers, maintain architecture in Abacus, propose new standards, conduct architecture reviews, and lead scalable architecture projects.
• Enforce IT industry standards including ITIL, TOGAF and COBIT, and ensure compliance with IT security, internet and VPN security, business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
• Continuous improvement: lead improvement initiatives, foster innovation, coach and develop staff, and resolve team conflicts.

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in marketing, banking, finance, accounting, economics, business administration, information technology or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with a highly rated international bank.
• Specialized courses in IT Security and Enterprise Architecture.
