Senior Manager International Quality Control (Qatarization)

About the role

QNB Group, Qatar's first Qatari-owned commercial bank established in 1964, is recruiting a Senior Manager International Quality Control. The role implements the group's vision for quality assurance standards, monitors international branches to ensure controls are followed, oversees international branch projects and approves process and system quality certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Control and monitor international branch projects so they follow the strategic project plan, and review and approve enhancements to process and system quality certifications.
• Conduct development and re-engineering studies on processes, products or services for international branches, manage test plans and scripts standards, and ensure change control is followed.
• Support the EVP Group International Operations Affairs in documenting KPIs for performance monitoring and quality measurement, and help prepare the department's annual budget.
• Supervise re-engineering processes and workflows to create cost savings and efficiencies, and implement KPIs and best practices for the role.
• Ensure quality of processes and systems within set timeframes, coordinate user departments on project deliverables, and approve processes and systems with a formal evaluation, testing, authorization and benchmarking procedure.
• Evaluate international operating processes, banking systems and products against country specifications and regulations, and provide guidance on User Acceptance Testing, Operational Readiness Testing and Post Live Verification.
• Perform point-of-release quality assurance on new international branch implementations, liaise with the Operations PMO and other departments, and prepare project reports for management and the Operations PMO.
• Identify and initiate re-engineering, quality improvement and cost optimization projects, run periodic audit checks, and escalate stability issues and service interruptions to the Executive Manager of IGOPS.
• Provide accurate information to external and internal auditors and the Compliance function, and maintain SLAs with internal units.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree; university graduate preferred, ideally in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Information Technology.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a highly rated international bank.
• Full knowledge of operations and systems to guide international branches from opening to go-live and continuous support.
• High-level document writing capability.
