Senior Measurement Technician – Onshore Facilities

About the role

QatarEnergy LNG is seeking an experienced Senior Measurement Technician to support the maintenance of analysers, fire & gas, and metering system devices at its onshore facilities. The role involves ensuring reliable operation, performing health checks, and troubleshooting a range of measurement equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot analysers, fire & gas detectors, and metering system instruments.
• Conduct routine and non‑routine plant maintenance, installation, and repairs.
• Inspect contractor installations, perform loop and functional tests, and verify compliance with project specifications.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks in line with SAP task lists, OEM manuals, and quality standards.
• Prepare work permits, ensure safe execution of tasks, and record calibration results in logbooks.
• Backup application databases and manage spare parts inventory for uninterrupted operations.
• Report device failures to the Senior Measurement Supervisor and support engineering modifications.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary school followed by a vocational training programme (e.g., TAFE).
• Minimum 5 years of technician experience, with at least 3 years in the oil & gas or petrochemical sector.
• Hands‑on experience with flow computers (S600, Omni) and tank‑gauging systems (Enraf, SAAB Rosemount Radar, Scientific Instruments).

Required skills

• Analysers (GC, CEMS, moisture, O₂, CO, pH, conductivity, H₂S, SO₂, TOC).
• Fire & gas detection systems (flammable gas, toxic gas, smoke, UV/IR, liquid CO₂ suppression).
• Metering system instruments and flow‑computer configuration.
• SAP task‑list management and OEM manual adherence.
• Calibration recording, backup of applications/databases, and spare‑parts logistics.
