Senior Network and Security Engineer

About the role

The Senior Network and Security Engineer designs, implements, integrates and troubleshoots enterprise network and security solutions across multi-vendor environments. The role calls for extensive hands-on technical expertise, experience delivering complex projects in a System Integrator (SI) environment, and the ability to develop network architectures, lead technical discussions and ensure compliance with applicable Qatar cybersecurity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure and troubleshoot enterprise network and security solutions across multi-vendor environments.
• Work with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5 and Check Point technologies.
• Develop High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), network architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
• Manage and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless networks, WAN, VPNs and IP telephony.
• Implement network segmentation, high availability, redundancy and secure connectivity solutions.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis and packet analysis using Wireshark.
• Lead customer discussions, technical presentations, workshops, solution deployments and infrastructure migrations.
• Manage technical escalations, system integration, project documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and coordinate with customers, vendors and project stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions follow industry best practices, customer requirements and Qatar cybersecurity standards.

Required profile

• 12-16 years of professional experience in networking and security.
• Proven experience in a System Integrator (SI) environment.
• Experience in network and security architecture, HLD/LLD development, implementation and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs and network security; Palo Alto and Fortinet experience highly desirable.
• Customer-facing, technical communication and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: projects in banking, transportation, public sector or education; CISSP or GIAC certification is an advantage.
