Senior Primary Teacher / Homeroom Teacher (Native English)

About the role

The Taleb Group of Schools is looking for an experienced Senior Primary Teacher who will also serve as a Homeroom Teacher. This full‑time position is based in Doha and focuses on delivering high‑quality instruction within an international, English‑medium environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess lessons aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and/or Cambridge curriculum.
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a supportive, student‑centred learning atmosphere.
• Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to parents and senior staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and school initiatives.
• Lead homeroom activities, fostering community, wellbeing and personal development.
• Participate in professional development and school improvement programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed. or equivalent).
• Minimum two years of classroom teaching experience in an English‑medium school.
• Familiarity with the IB PYP and/or Cambridge curriculum.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to student‑centred learning and academic excellence.
