Senior Project Engineer – Rotating Machinery (Utilities)

About the role

The Senior Project Engineer will support the Head of Machinery in leading engineering activities for rotating equipment within the Utilities area. The role ensures projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with company strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee engineering and procurement of compressors, pumps, turbines, blowers and gearboxes.
• Review performance curves, conduct vibration analysis, alignment procedures and assess reliability data.
• Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), installation, commissioning and troubleshooting with vendors and site teams.
• Identify and deliver spare parts and special tools required for project execution.
• Track engineering deliverables, report deviations and support recovery actions.
• Review and comment on technical documentation from EPCC contractors, including datasheets, drawings and specifications.
• Participate in multidisciplinary reviews such as HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, QRA and 3D model reviews.
• Support risk identification, interface coordination and audit preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or EPC sectors.
• Strong background in rotating machinery engineering and process engineering software.
