Contract / Cost Engineer

About the role

ISS International Qatar WLL is seeking a Contract / Cost Engineer to be based in Mesaieed, Qatar. The role will manage the full contract life‑cycle for high‑value turnaround projects, ensuring cost‑effective procurement and protecting company interests.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the contract lifecycle for goods and services, including tendering, contract award, and long‑term agreements.
• Coordinate with senior engineers, finance, commercial and supply‑chain teams to ensure accurate data in the turnaround management system.
• Prepare cost estimates, maintain a cost database, and support zero‑base costing for turnaround projects.
• Monitor and report cost forecasts, variances, and accruals, providing early warnings of overruns.
• Assist in the preparation of the five‑year rolling capital turnaround plan and related budgeting activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 10–15 years of direct experience in contract and cost engineering, preferably in turnaround or petrochemical environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Working knowledge of SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) and SAP MM (Materials Management) modules.
