Senior QA/QC Engineer – Asset Integrity

About the role

The Senior QA/QC Engineer leads quality assurance and control activities across the fertilizer complex, ensuring that all plant assets, materials, equipment, and construction work meet international standards, company specifications, and regulatory requirements throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage QA/QC activities for all QAFCO plants and facilities, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and statutory requirements.
• Participate in vendor qualification, review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation, and witness shop and site inspections.
• Oversee fabrication, construction, installation, repairs, and maintenance of static equipment and piping, verifying adherence to approved procedures, codes, and contracts.
• Manage welding quality assurance, including verification of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), welder qualifications, and non‑destructive examination (NDE) requirements.
• Coordinate inspections with third‑party agencies, contractors, and vendors, including factory acceptance tests (FAT) and lifting equipment certification.
• Control incoming material quality by reviewing certificates, ensuring traceability, and reporting non‑conformities.
• Monitor repair and integrity of pressure equipment and piping per ASME PCC‑2 and related codes.
• Maintain ISO/IEC 17020 compliance by implementing and improving the Inspection Body Management System.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in QA/QC for industrial or fertilizer plants.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage vendor qualification processes.
• Strong knowledge of international standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
