Senior Risk Management Analyst

About the role

Join MetLife's Global Risk Management Group in Doha, where you will act as the second line of defence, identifying, monitoring and mitigating financial and non‑financial risks across the organisation. You will advise business units on risk‑aware strategies, challenge ideas, and help implement robust controls that support responsible growth.

Key responsibilities

• Support the identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of operational, market, credit, liquidity and insurance risks.
• Coordinate regulatory submissions and ensure compliance with Qatar Central Bank Executive Regulations.
• Facilitate the annual Non‑Financial Risk Assessment process and maintain documentation of key risks, controls and remediation plans.
• Manage operational risk event reporting, conduct root‑cause analysis and track remediation actions.
• Develop and deliver risk‑management awareness and training sessions to embed a strong risk culture.
• Monitor risk exposures against approved limits, support risk‑appetite statements and key risk indicator reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the insurance industry as a Risk Manager or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, law or a related field.
• Recognised risk‑management professional qualification at certificate level.
• Strong understanding of the Three Lines of Defence model and regulatory risk‑management processes.
• Excellent spoken and written English, with strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
