Senior SHES Manager

About the role

The Senior SHES Manager will lead safety, health, environment and security (SHES) initiatives for two large construction packages in Qatar, supporting major mechanical EPC projects in the oil and gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain SHES Management Systems across both packages.
• Drive safety culture improvements and continuous safety performance for LNG, refinery or petrochemical projects.
• Mentor and manage large multidisciplinary teams within a Joint Venture framework.
• Lead full implementation of project‑specific SHES programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Allocate resources, oversee SHES performance and provide guidance to site SHES managers.
• Collaborate with project managers, client representatives, partners and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of international EPC experience in major mechanical construction projects.
• Proven track record in safety management for large‑scale oil & gas facilities.
• Degree in a relevant engineering or safety discipline.
• Strong ability to work with Joint Venture partners and client stakeholders.

Required skills

• ISO 45001 certification or knowledge.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical construction methodologies.
