Senior Telecom Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Telecom Engineer to support major business functions by providing in‑depth technical expertise in telecommunications. The role involves planning, operating, and improving both on‑premise and cloud‑based telecom services, ensuring they meet regulatory, security and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and control installed or virtual telecom hardware and software across local and wide area networks.
• Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced colleagues on operational procedures.
• Configure and maintain automation tools for provisioning, testing and deployment of telecom infrastructure.
• Participate in planning, installation, and maintenance of telecom systems, including virtualized environments.
• Implement infrastructure changes and routine maintenance while adhering to safety and security protocols.
• Assist in drafting system designs, specifications, and documentation covering performance, reliability, and security requirements.
• Manage the full lifecycle of telecom hardware, software and transmission media for relatively simple communication systems.
• Define and execute small‑scale projects or sub‑projects, contributing to all project phases.

Required profile

• Proven experience in telecom engineering with responsibility for both on‑premise and cloud services.
• Ability to work under general direction while taking substantial personal responsibility.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and ensuring KPI compliance.
• Experience documenting designs, specifications and project outcomes.
