Service Sales Specialist - Electrification

About the role

ABB is hiring a Service Sales Specialist for its Electrification business area within the Service Division, based in Qatar. The position reports to the Qatar Marketing & Sales Manager and focuses on driving service sales, with daily attention to Installed Base (IB) penetration and the full service product portfolio. The work model is onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Penetrate the installed base and promote upgrades, retrofits and value-add solutions for customers and ABB.
• Understand the channel strategy, set related prices, prepare sales plans, review them and propose recovery plans when needed.
• Generate service sales leads and develop new market opportunities using market trends and by exploring new service portfolios.
• Act as marketer and salesperson during campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences and customer meetings.
• Build long-term customer relationships and respond quickly to specific customer needs and issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in service sales.
• Experience in the infrastructure and utilities market in Qatar.
• Current driving licence valid in Qatar.
• Ability to travel to attend factory FATs, training sessions and customer meetings.

Required skills

• Familiarity with the Sales Force tool.
• Solid understanding of electrical products such as circuit breakers, isolators and switchboards.
• Sales, communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
