Squadron Support Supervisor

About the role

The Squadron Support Supervisor oversees the acceptance, storage, release and disposal of tools and equipment within a central storage area. The role ensures that inventory and asset demands are generated, validated, prioritised and processed to meet contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Register, inspect and assign unique serial numbers to all tools and equipment entering the store.
• Track usage, condition and documentation for each item, maintaining accurate tool tallies and labels.
• Verify incoming deliveries against order documentation and ensure proper certification and packaging.
• Coordinate timely inspection, servicing and calibration of tools and equipment.
• Remove surplus or unserviceable items, update tracking systems and manage quarantine or disposal processes.
• Identify capability or capacity issues and work with Demand Management Specialists to resolve or escalate them.
• Interface with platform maintenance and upgrade operations to place and respond to supply‑chain demands.
• Execute demand validation, priority management and reporting to monitor performance and trends.

Required profile

• Experience in tool or equipment management within a technical or aerospace environment.
• Knowledge of inspection, calibration and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to coordinate with maintenance, supply‑chain and demand‑management teams.
• Strong organisational skills for tracking, reporting and handling surplus items.
