About the role
The Steward ensures the kitchen, dishwashing area, and food service facilities remain clean, hygienic, and compliant with food safety standards. Working within the Souq Waqif Boutique Hotel, you will support the culinary team by maintaining equipment, utensils, and workspaces in pristine condition.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery.
- Operate dishwashing machines following proper cleaning procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and workstations.
- Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste according to company procedures.
- Store cleaned equipment and utensils correctly.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and sanitation tasks.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report shortages.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow safety regulations.
- Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, and safety hazards.
- Support scheduled deep‑cleaning activities.
