Steward – Hotel Kitchen Support

About the role

The Steward ensures the kitchen and back‑of‑house areas of Mövenpick Hotel Doha remain clean, hygienic, and ready for service. Working closely with the culinary team, you will handle all washing, sanitising, and storage of kitchenware while supporting basic operational tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, sanitise and store all dishes, glassware, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, dishwashing area and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Dispose of waste correctly and uphold hygiene standards.
• Assist the kitchen team with basic cleaning, set‑up and operational tasks as needed.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to hotel procedures.
• Report damaged equipment or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards at all times.
• Adhere to grooming and uniform requirements.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a steward or in a kitchen/cleaning role is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of hygiene and food‑safety standards.
• Team‑player with a positive, cooperative attitude.
• Physically fit, able to stand for long periods and handle heavy loads.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP and food‑safety regulations.
• Proficiency in operating dishwashing and cleaning equipment.
• Safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
