Subsea Marine Survey Specialist

About the role

The Subsea Marine Survey Specialist will plan, coordinate and execute underwater marine services for QatarEnergy LNG’s subsea assets, including jackets, pipelines and data cables. The role ensures regular technical and visual inspections are carried out in compliance with environmental and industry best practices, supporting optimal operation and maintenance of offshore facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage underwater inspection contracts from tendering through to contract administration, ensuring compliance with CPM standards.
• Provide technical and operational input for subsea construction, maintenance and major project expansion activities, including preparation of No Objection Letters and approvals.
• Coordinate and execute underwater inspection and remedial activities such as pipeline free‑span rectification, cable repair and riser clamp repair for QG, Barzan and FAP facilities.
• Maintain inspection manuals, daily logs, issues registers and interface tracking databases, and ensure adherence to corporate policies and Qatari regulations.
• Support new subsea projects by reviewing engineering designs, specifications and scopes of work, and by updating the Consolidated Field Layout system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in subsea construction, inspection, maintenance, repair and diving operations.
• Strong understanding of process safety concepts and pipeline design codes.
• Proven experience with offshore and onshore pipeline networks, marine surveys and ROV operations.
• Knowledge of structural analysis, geotechnical engineering and subsea piping materials and joining mechanisms.
