Supply Chain Manager – Lubricants Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement, strategic sourcing, and inventory planning for a leading lubricant manufacturing facility in Qatar. The role ensures uninterrupted supply of base oils, additives, packaging materials and plant operational needs while optimizing costs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production and business objectives.
• Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, vendor evaluations and procurement planning.
• Manage sourcing of lubricant base oils (Group I‑V) and additive packages.
• Maintain strategic relationships with major suppliers such as Lubrizol, Infineum, Afton Chemical and Chevron Oronite.
• Forecast demand, control inventory levels and coordinate inbound logistics.
• Oversee procurement of packaging, spare parts, laboratory consumables, PPE and equipment.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations, audits and resolve quality or delivery issues.
• Prepare spend analysis, inventory status reports and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Required profile

• 7‑12 years of procurement and supply chain experience in lubricant blending, petrochemical or chemical manufacturing.
• Proven track record in sourcing base oils and additive packages.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Supply Chain Management or related field; professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM, APICS/CSCP) preferred.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of lubricant base oils (Group I‑V) and additive technologies.
• Strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Inventory optimization and demand planning.
• International procurement, import/export procedures and shipping documentation.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and procurement analytics.
